Taeil was sentenced to three years and six months in prison in his appeal trial but has decided to take the case to the Supreme Court. On October 17, the Seoul High Court upheld the same sentence as the first trial, stating that while he reached a settlement with the victim, he showed no intention to turn himself in, and the victim continues to suffer severe mental distress. Taeil filed an appeal through his legal representative on October 24, and the two accomplices involved also did the same.
