The BBC has finally confirmed the future of Doctor Who, much to the relief of fans. Following the end of the latest season, there were questions about whether we’d be getting anymore and, if so, when. Those questions were answered when the BBC announced on Tuesday (28 October) that the long-running sci-fi series would be returning next year with a Christmas special, written by Russell T Davies. Plans for a new season will be revealed “in due course”. It was also revealed that the partnership with Disney+ had ended.
