Dan Howell thought Phil Lester was wearing a wig when they first met. While Phil joked he thought Dan had "catfished" him by being the last person off the train, Dan confessed his eyes were drawn to Phil's hair. Revealing on their podcast, Hard Launch, Dan said: “Phil, when I first met you, I thought you were wearing a wig," He explained that Phil had recently dyed his hair, using a shade Dan called "savage Schwarzkopf triple black." However, the real reason was the styling.
