A light-hearted atmosphere returned to Monday’s protests outside the ICE building in South Portland. Before sunset, dancing group Bailando Afuera returned for a Latin Dance Protest, with a free bachata class at 6:30 p.m. and social dancing until 9 p.m. Couples danced to “Oiga, Mire, Vea” by Guayacán Orquesta and other Latin songs. “We just want to showcase that it’s not this crazy fire storm that people are talking about,” said Julianne Valadez, an organizer for the events.
