Just learned number 5 today.💡 This video was taken at Cape Coast Castle 🇬🇭🏰—once a Portuguese trading post, later a British stronghold in the transatlantic slave trade. Thousands were held in its dungeons before walking through the Door of No Return and being shipped across the Atlantic. Today, it stands as a solemn reminder of the past our ancestors endured. Because of this slave trade, many around the world trace their roots back to Ghana, including people from the United States, Jamaica, Brazil, Haiti, Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago, Cuba, Colombia, and more.
