Today, we share Jimmy’s - a son’s remembrance of his parents’ incredible fight and the love that carried them through. 💗 “My dad was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013. Since male breast cancer accounts for ~1% of all breast cancer cases, he often said he won the anti-lottery 😂 After surgery, chemo, radiation, and a 3 year battle, it eventually metastasized to his bones and brain. My mom was coincidentally diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma in early 2016. It quickly spread to her liver and they ended up passing within 5 days of each other - in hospice, at home, side by side, and surround by loved ones.
