The lantern festival is coming up but is it worth it? 🤔 Loy Krathong is coming up in Thailand and last year we celebrated in Chiang Mai at the #yipenglanternfestival. Finding tickets and the transportation to the venue was a little dicey, but once we got there - OMG the experience was incredible. We got Premium tickets that gave us updated transportation (a van that had AC!) and we were treated to a surprisingly delicious buffet dinner. The ticket tiers had different food options and I recommend upgrading for the food alone. The grounds where the event was held was spacious and had a lot of performances and interactive stations. Then came the big event to light the lanterns. You get assigned seating and two lanterns each, with a candle to light them up and watch them float up in the sky. It really was the most magical evening. So if you’re wondering if it’s worth it - I would say yes! #yipengfestival
