The arts are under pressure, from funding cuts to censorship threats. On October 2 at McCarter Theatre, arts and education leaders gathered to say what so many are feeling. “We’re seeing schools laying off arts specialists who are our partners, and arts budgets are being cut,” shared Young Audiences’ Michele Russo. “If we don’t act now, we’ll create cultural deserts across the country,” warned McCarter’s Martin Miller.
