Day two of the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek - swipe to see the highlights 🍃
Today’s trek took us from Tikhedunga to Ghorepani, a 13km walk with 1,380m elevation gain 😅 This is by far the toughest day of the 5 day trek, but we did it!
You start with a cute little bridge crossing overlooking a waterfall, which lulls you into a false sense that today will be very pleasant. But 5 minutes later you hit the first of 3,381 stone steps that take you to a village called Ulleri. Swipe to see what the steps are like!
The views are *beautiful* on the way up. You can see Fishtail Mountain (Machapuchare) peeking out and little villages dotted on the hills around you. But nothing can take away from the fact that you’re making your way up 540meters of elevation.
