LIONS WIN IN PLAYOFF OPENER: The jserra_boys_water_polo team got off to a victorious start in its' postseason opener on Wednesday, as the Lions rallied past Oaks Christian 9-7 in a Pool A game of the CIF-SS Open Division Playoffs at Oaks Christian High School in Westlake Village. The Lions are now 19-10 overall and will take on No. 1 seed Newport Harbor in their next Pool A game on Saturday. The two teams played to a 4-4 first half tie, before Oaks Christian scored two of the first three goals in the third period to take a 6-5 lead. But junior Joe Wraith tallied the game-tying goal with just over three minutes remaining in the period, with senior Connor Colman adding his lone score of the game just over a minute later to give JSerra a 7-6 advantage heading into the fourth period. Sophomore Ronan Keane and freshman Christopher Koo added fourth period scores to help the Lions earn the victory. Wraith, Koo, and sophomore Dylan Park each scored two goals.
