Young athletes on the volleyball court need holistic development (i.e., mind, body, craft) to optimize performance and well-being on and off the court. Heather Elliott, former Seasonal Athletic Trainer for U.S. Beach National Teams, guides coaches and parents through the developmental challenges athletes may face in the transition from high school to collegiate play and how to best support athletes during this time. Elliott focuses special attention on mental wellness, exploring the athlete’s identity and the importance of relationships.
