Re: Alberta teachers strike Bill 2 was tabled today. "Back to school act". It has not yet been given royal assent so it is not law yet, but that'll likely happen soon (tomorrow?). Teachers and students are due to return to school on Wednesday. To do this, the UCP is using the Notwithstanding Clause, allowing it to override certain Charter-protected rights, including fundamental freedoms, legal rights, and equality rights. Bill 2 is 36 pages long so I can't post the entire thing on Instagram but I've included a few screenshots from it.
