I’ve loved every Mother’s Day I’ve had over the last years, but the one that always sticks out to me was a couple years ago. We went to the great lawn in Central Park and had the most beautiful picnic. I remember the prosciutto sandwiches on the softest bread, the sun splashing our faces while we laid out on the blanket. Playing croquet while we had lemonade and shared petit fours. A Spider-Man ice-cream from the truck on the corner while we walked home. A somewhat typical Sunday for our family, but the added sweetness of being reminded how grateful I am for my family. This sweet life we have built, brick by brick, with more love than I ever imagined possible. Mother’s Day is a beautiful day to shine a spotlight on the ones who have mothered us, and a reminder to bask in the glow of the beauty that comes from nurturing another in all its many forms. Happy early Mother’s Day to you, my dear friends. 💛
