Anxiety has always been a factor for me. For years, it has held me back from chasing dreams, taking a leap of faith, trying something new. Anxiety staked it's claim on me. This past year was the first that I finally started grasping for control over it. Enough was enough. The days of this fear holding me back were over. I remember writing at the beach one day and watching the waves. I remember thinking to myself how anxiety felt a lot like the waves. It would roll in, but it would also roll away. It wasn't forever. Anxiety, just like every other fear, would pass. I decided then I wanted a wave tattoo. That way I could look down during those fits of anxiety and remind myself that this wave would pass.
