Music fans around the world are feeling a devastating loss today. I can’t begin to tell you how much I loved Frankie as a true musical artist but even more as a person. He was a gentle soul and always gave fans their money’s worth with every performance.    I would listen to Frankie Beverly before every high school game to get hyped up and ready. And the first chance I got to have him perform was for my birthday party in Lansing after I was drafted; what a dream come true!   Frankie Beverly is a great friend to Cookie and me and has been part of our lives and many special moments over the past 40 years between birthdays, anniversaries, Midsummer’s Nights Magic and concerts!
