A 19-year-old from Kankakee is facing 11 felony counts in connection with the fatal stabbing of a delivery driver and stabbing of a maintenance worker at a Chick-fil-A in the Chicago suburbs last Wednesday morning.
Darryl Lee Jr. was charged last Thursday in connection with the crime by the Kendall County State's Attorney's Office.
“This was an unprovoked attack and resulted in a tragic loss of life. Our hearts go out to the victims, their families, and everyone affected by this tragic incident,” said Oswego Police Chief Bastin. “We are grateful for the bravery of those who intervened and for the coordinated response from our officers, fire personnel, and assisting agencies.”
Lee is in custody in the Kendall County Jail and his next hearing is scheduled for Thursday, Oct 30.
