① From May 16 to September 7, 2025, I held my solo exhibition “Takashi Murakami: Stepping on the Tail of a Rainbow” at the Cleveland Museum of Art clevelandmuseumofart. Through discussions with the museum team and the curators, we installed a structure called Yumedono in the museum’s atrium. I asked Justin Marks and Rachel Kondo, the American producers of the historical drama series “SHOGUN”, to help produce it, and they, together with Helen Jarvis, their production designer, led the design direction. Working with the production manager Melissa Ciampa and the production company 11th St. Workshop, we successfully completed the structure in time for the exhibition, receiving tremendous reactions. In order to creatively raise the necessary funds to produce this Yumedono, what I came up with together with the museum was to sell my limited-edition prints and to draw custom portraits, donating the entire proceeds to the museum.
