Sherma and Errol, a couple from Whitehouse, Westmoreland, are appealing to government officials to visit their community, which they say is in urgent need of attention.
They shared what life has been like since the passage of Category 5 Hurricane Melissa on October 28.
Sherma also shared that she works at Lanpro and is hoping to keep her job despite not being able to go to work.
We’re continuing to collect donations for those affected by Hurricane Melissa. Items can be dropped off at the Jamaica Observer (40 - 42 1/2 Beechwood Avenue), which is serving as a donation centre. Please label your bags with the recipient’s name where possible, they’ll be included in upcoming relief trips.
Together, we can help families rebuild. You can also donate here
