👻 THE GHOSTS that haunted my coaching… When I first started coaching, I thought: - I had to constantly give instructions and tell the children exactly what to do - My session had to look perfect, and if it didn’t, it wasn’t a success - I had to control every aspect of the practice, telling the children what to do, where to go, and even how to think But when I changed my approach and adopted a child-first mindset, everything changed. I started giving children a voice and choices within my sessions. I began to step back, listen more, and create space for them to take the lead. The sessions became more fun, more chaotic (in a good way!), and filled with creativity and laughter. This Halloween, I’ve teamed up with playtheirwayuk to help coaches break free from the ghosts that still haunt so many sessions… The pressure to be perfect, to control, to look like a “proper” coach.
