125 Series | In 1900, a handful of Brockton neighbors carved a golf course out of a cow pasture off West Street. They maintained the course on limited budgets, using sand used for icy roads, and when golfers started achieving success, more kept coming. They called it Thorney Lea...until a trophy engraver dropped the “e,” and nobody bothered to fix it. For a century and a corner that same blue-collar grit has driven the club and has made it a powerhouse in amateur golf.
