WILDCATS SWEEP LIONS: It was a tough end to the CIF-SS postseason for the jserra.girlsvb team, as the Lions fell to the West Ranch Wildcats 15-25, 14-25, 19-25 in the semifinals of the CIF-SS Division 2 playoffs on Saturday at West Ranch High School in Stevenson Ranch. The Lions are 20-15 and will await the release of the CIF State Volleyball Championship brackets to see when they will next play. Sophomore Cassie Bartholomew led the Lions with six kills, while senior Ava Ziegler and junior Katherine Nowak each added five kills. Ziegler also had a team-best two blocks. Senior Catherine Beadles produced 21 of the team’s 24 assists.
