LIONS SWEEP TRINITY HONORS: The jserra.tfxc Girls and Boys Cross Country teams were without peers against their league rivals on Friday, as both teams claimed team titles at the Trinity League Finals at Central Park in Huntington Beach. In the girls’ race, the Lions extended their season-long dominance with another strong display of pack running that has defined their undefeated campaign to date. The Lions impressively swarmed at the front of the lead pack and stayed connected throughout duration of the race. Freshman Maya Pawlowicz (17:41.7) and senior Chloe Elbaz (17:42.2) were the first Lion runners to step across the finish line, placing second and third place in the race. Junior Hutton Nelligan produced a stellar effort in the lead pack and finished in fifth place in 17:47.6, followed by freshman Brooklyn Tennant, who was sixth in a time of 17:51.5.
