Real or fake diplomatic license plate? . . . . . You guessed it. This is not a real diplomatic license plate. This vehicle was stopped for obvious CA Vehicle Code violations. After a quick investigation, the vehicle was discovered to have an expired registration of almost a year. The vehicle was towed, and the driver cited for various vehicle code violations. Reminder that being a self-proclaimed "Sovereign Citizen" does not excuse you from federal, state, and local laws and definitely will not prevent you from getting a citation or arrested, or even your vehicle towed. Additionally, real diplomatic license plates can only be issued from the U.S. Department of State.
