Not sure if this was Wesley’s quote or not, but the message is clear. I grew up in a different environment, where tough love was the norm and outside of family very few ever clapped loud if clapped at all. Ironically, I’ve been getting applause for most of my life due to my craft, but in context of this conversation the truth is you make the world you live in. Mentality is everything and the people you surround yourself with heavily influence the environment that shapes your mentality. Do yourself a favor and surround yourself with people that promote positivity and growth. There’s a clear line between tough love and negativity, between tough love and jealousy.... don’t fault them but don’t lie to yourself either. Confront it and make a change.
