Kandace Washington lost her son, Kyren Lacy, in April. His story was twisted online and he was vilified by many before ALL the facts were known. The internet and other prominent voices contributed to a toxic online conversation spinning a narrative without facts or evidence. Unfortunately, Kyren passed away by suicide just one day before a grand jury was set to hear the case. This wasn’t the first time Kandace faced suicide in her family.
