While nothing has been confirmed yet, it’s been incredibly difficult to imagine José Abreu playing with anybody other than the White Sox. Since day one, Abreu has been the embodiment of the South Side: humble, hard-working, dedicated, and loyal - it’s why he became so revered by the hometown fans from the moment he put on the uniform nine years ago. There’s just so much that can be said. He’s been the heart and soul of this squad, plain and simple. Whatever happens moving forward though, I’m just grateful that José played for my favorite team.
