Armand "Bep” Guidolin was the youngest player ever to score a goal in the National Hockey League [16y, 350d.]
During WWII, the NHL lost a large portion of their players to the service, forcing them to fill rosters with anyone capable of playing. Bep was only 16 years old when the Boston Bruins gave his mother a call. He was playing in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) for the Oshawa Generals - as a 15 year old the year prior. On November 24th, 1942, Bep netted his first career goal and became the (still) youngest player to record a goal in an NHL game. Bep's record will most likely go untouched throughout history as 16 year olds will almost never be permitted to play in the professional sport again. In 1957, Bep retired from the NHL, tallying 107 Goals, 171 Assists and 519 Games Played - followed by a coaching stint with the Boston Bruins and Edmonton Oilers until 1977.
