An estimated 3-4 babies are abandoned every day in Johannesburg, South Africa. It’s a silent pandemic in Johannesburg’s informal settlement communities—driven by poverty, lack of support, and ultimately, desperation. Babies are being left in rivers, dumpsters, and even toilets. Most of the time, no one realizes a baby has been “dumped” until it’s too late. 💔 It’s dark. It’s heartbreaking. We refuse to look away.
