An estimated 3-4 babies are abandoned every day in Johannesburg, South Africa. These precious souls are left in dumpsters, rivers, and toilets. Oftentimes, people don’t know that a baby has been left behind until it’s too late. 💔 The baby abandonment crisis is a tragic symptom of poverty, lack of resources and education, and desperation. Many mothers desperately feel they have no choice but to abandon their babies. This broke our hearts and called us into action. In 2020, we partnered with Impact Africa in Johannesburg, South Africa, to help prevent baby abandonment and empower expectant mothers and vulnerable families. Alongside Impact Africa, we created TTF Impact Baby Rescue, which helps fight baby abandonment through a three-pronged approach: prevention, rescue, and family reunification or adoption.
