Although homecoming season is almost over, the message still applies. For alum, homecoming is a time to come back to the place you called “home” for 4,5 or how many years it took you to get your degree. It’s an “escape” from reality for a few days. A time to go back down memory lane with the people you spent some of the most important years of your life with learning and developing into the people you are today. BUT where some people mess up, is thinking that homecoming is reality and it’s not. Homecoming is a great time to make new connections, whether it be career wise, business and for single folks you may even find your spouse there. Remember, you broke up with that ex for a reason. Leave them there. Wave(or not) and keep it moving. Married folks, you married your spouse and still with them for a reason. How you feel about them is your business and something you gotta deal with.
