We are heartbroken by the killing of five Sudanese Red Crescent Society volunteers in Bara, North Kordofan. They were serving their communities – bringing care, courage, and compassion to people in need. Neutrality does not mean silence. As the world’s largest humanitarian network, our message is clear: violence against humanitarian workers must stop. We strongly reiterate our call for unwavering respect for the Red Cross and Red Crescent emblems and the crucial humanitarian services they represent. Our thoughts are with the families, friends, and colleagues of the SRCS volunteers, and with everyone continuing to serve communities in Sudan. We stand with you – and we will continue to #ProtectHumanity.
