The UIW Ila Faye Miller School of Nursing and Health Professions hosted the annual Sr. Charles Marie Frank Endowed Lecture, honoring Sr. Charles Marie Frank, CCVI, who earned one of the first Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees in the late 1930s. This year’s guest speaker, Dr. Jean Watson, a distinguished professor and dean emerita at the University of Colorado Denver and designated “Living Legend” by the American Academy of Nursing, presented “Unitary Caring Science: A Full Circle of Knowledge.” Dr. Watson explored how compassion, love, and shared humanity form the foundation of true healing, reminding attendees that even small acts of caring can have a lasting impact. 🤲 Learn more about her message at uiw.edu/news or through the link in our bio. #UIW #UIWNursing #UIWSNHP #GoCardinals #YourJourneyOurMission
