Guests gathered inside the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive, or BAMPFA, on Saturday to attend Kopi Bar and Bakery’s grand opening at its new Downtown Berkeley location. The space was filled with patrons who enjoyed coffee, pastries, art and a traditional Indonesian gamelan and dance performance. ⁠ ⁠ Kopi Bar and Bakery, run by Executive Chef Nora Haron, blends Indonesian and Californian coffee shop fare. After closing its original location in Walnut Creek earlier this year, the bar and bakery reopened in collaboration with BAMPFA. ⁠ ⁠ BAMPFA Executive Director Julie Rodrigues Widholm said visitors have “immensely” missed having a cafe at the museum.
