A poll published last week by the UC Berkeley Institute for Governmental Studies, or IGS, revealed that 60% of likely voters support a “yes” vote on Proposition 50.
Prop. 50, a legislative constitutional amendment, will temporarily change the way the state congressional lines are drawn to favor the Democratic Party if passed. Another poll conducted by IGS in August showed a 48% “yes” to 32% “no” margin voter opinion on the ballot proposition.
The new poll takes a look at likely voters’ preference on Prop. 50 in relation to their method of voting, partisanship, age and opinions of President Donald Trump and Gov. Gavin Newsom, among other factors.
