UCPD responded to an arson near an abandoned building on the Clark Kerr Campus late Sunday evening. According to a UC Berkeley WarnMe alert, UCPD and Berkeley Fire Department quickly extinguished the fire and determined it to be “malicious in nature.” The arson occurred around 8 p.m. and was reported to UCPD a few minutes later, according to the WarnMe. No structures were damaged in the fire, which was set outside the abandoned gym in building 22.
