Chameleon geckos are, in my opinion, one of the best miniature geckos available as pets. They’re small, but full of personality and no harder to care for than a crested gecko. Mine, Kiwi, lives in a 2x2x2 foot cube, and mostly eats crested gecko diet and some small insects. She is a ferocious hunter. I don’t recommend handling them too much since they are small, but they tolerate it in short amounts. Plus, they have a beautiful, pebbly scale pattern and the weirdest yellow-ringed eyes! The downside is that their camouflage is impeccable. It, combined with their tendency to smoothly slide to the opposite side of twigs when spotted sometimes makes it very hard to find them in their enclosures. There have been times where I have to give up and look for her another time. There are four species of chameleon gecko available. Eurydactylodes agricolae is the most common, with E, vieillardi close behind (this is the species I have). E. occidentalis and E. symmetricus are less common. #rep...
