State Senator Sean Ryan has been elected Buffalo Mayor, according to the Associated Press. Ryan will become the city's first newly elected mayor in nearly 20 years. He defeated Republican candidate James Gardner and Independent candidate Michael Gainer. He is set to replace Acting Mayor Chris Scanlon, who he defeated in a June primary, and longtime mayor Byron Brown, who stepped down last year. #buffalo #buffalony #seanryan
