“From the moment I applied to Susquehanna University, the first and only school I toured, it felt like Susquehanna was choosing me just as much as I was choosing it. Every time I tried to tour other schools, something would come up and I'd have to cancel. Then, I learned about Reed Hall and Smith Hall. Reed is my last name, and Smith is my mother's married name. Call it fate, call it signs, but I knew this was where I was meant to be. I found exactly what I needed: small class sizes, a communications program with incredible equipment available to students and opportunities like the Global Opportunities (GO) program that would push me to grow. Being a first-generation college student has been a leap of faith in a new direction; one I hope will reflect on generations after me.
