After an atmospheric river soaked Portland through Halloween, a rare break in the weather brought people out to Laurelhurst Park on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025. Visitors walked dogs, fed ducks, played pickleball and sat beneath the last yellow, orange and russet leaves. Unfortunately, another atmospheric river has arrived. The National Weather Service says Monday’s rain will last throughout the day, with most of the Portland metro area having an 80% chance of at least half an inch by nightfall. It will stay cloudy with a high near 54 degrees — slightly below the early November average of 58. Showers will linger into Tuesday morning, followed by a drier afternoon with a high near 60.
