I moved to New York in 2002. I was, in fact, totally broke when I got here. I had $200 to my name, and didn’t know a single person. I somehow convinced someone to give me an internship at Harper’s BAZAAR, and then worked in PR for over 10 years before I started my blog, “And I Was Like.” Because of the “And i” in AndiWasLike.com, people called me Andi for years 😂 New York sure can humble anyone. But nothing has humbled me more than having to pray and believe for the healing in my own body. 💗 The only way I can find purpose in any of this is to help someone else.
