1. The kind of oats you use is important. I recommend using rolled oats bc I find that steel cut oats are too tough and won’t soften enough to absorb the liquid. Buy organic oats if possible.
2. To stay fuller longer, add things like chia seeds and protein powder. Oh, and cinnamon and maple syrup will add a lot of flavor too!
3. The oats to liquid ratio. The oats to liquid ratio is always 1:2, meaning you if you use 1/2 cup oats, you need 1 cup milk or 3/4 cup oats would be 1 1/2 cups milk and so forth. Knowing this will help you make overnight oats without looking at any recipes.
4. To make your overnight oats nice and creamy, skip the water and use your favorite milk or milk substitute. I always go for almond milk.
