HOW TO MAKE PERFECT ROASTED GARLIC WITH NO FOIL! Follow
@kalejunkie for more! Welcome to episode 10 of Mastering the Basics, where I share easy tips to help you become better in the kitchen. I love roasted garlic but I’m trying to minimize cooking with foil. So here’s how to make it on the oven — no foil.
1. Slice the top off each bulb of garlic to expose the garlic. This is important or the garlic will burn.
2. Add the garlic bulbs to an oven safe pot, and exposed side up.
3. Drizzle with olive oil. This helps the garlic get nice and soft and spreadable. You can also sprinkle with salt, if desired.
4. Cover the pot. The garlic must be enclosed for this method to work.
5. Roast at 400F until soft. I find this take about 40-50 minutes. CAREFULLY remove cover and if you’d like a little more golden color, broil for one minute.
6. Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes then use and enjoy.
