Growing up in a Lebanese Armenian household, we ate this all the time, thanks to my dad. My friend @arazada made it the other day and I’ve been craving it ever since (be sure to check him out for all the Middle Eastern eats)! The bread gets nice and crunchy and the meat inside is perfectly spiced (tastes just like kafta) and it is DELICIOUS. ⁣ ⁣ There are many different ways to make this, but here is how I made them (makes 4 large pitas):⁣ 1 lb ground beef—@arazada uses ground lamb⁣ 1/2 white onion, diced⁣ 1 garlic clove, minced⁣ 1 tb red pepper paste⁣ 1 tb dried parsley (or 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped—recommended, but I didn’t have any)⁣ 1/2 tsp coriander⁣ 1 tsp cumin⁣ Salt & pepper⁣ ⁣ 4 pita breads⁣ 1 tb olive oil⁣ ⁣ In a bowl, add all ingredients for the filling and mix together well so that everything is combined.
