HOW TO RIPEN AVOCADOS FAST from me @kalejunkie 🥑// When I shared my Reel a few weeks ago on how to extend the life of an avocado that’s already ripe, I had a lot of questions asking the opposite—how do you ripen a rock hard avocado fast? Sure, you can do the brown paper bag trick, but I found that that method still takes 2-3 days for an avocado to ripen. But, if you add 1-2 bananas to the brown bag and store it in a dark place, my avocados ripened in 24 hours. The reason that the bananas help is because bananas release ethylene which helps ripen fruit, and when it’s trapped in the bag, it helps the avocados ripen faster.
