This #InternationalWomensDay, we recognize and celebrate those who advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion in the Suffolk community and who #InspireInclusion in honor of this year’s theme. Pascale Florestal, the lead producer on a new play at the Modern, “Exception to the Rule,” is a visiting guest artist and theatre professor and education director at thefrontporcharts, a Black theater company committed to advancing racial equity in Boston. The play tells the story of six Black students, stuck in detention in the worst high school in the city, as they try to make it through, fighting, flirting, and teasing.  MHA grad Luciana Canestraro, a native of Brazil, whose passion for languages and a calling for healthcare led her to become a Portuguese and Spanish medical interpreter at bostonchildrens.
