A child's view from G@z@, 2011.
"The drawings in this exhibit were created in art therapy classes by Falastinian children who survived the 2009 Isr*eli bombardment of G@z@. The drawings remain timely: a tragic reminder that the children of Falasteen continue to experience the horrors and trauma of war - experiences that no child anywhere in the world should have to go through."
These drawings were initially planned to be showcased at a Bay Area children's museum but the exhibition was shut down and censored.
"Pro-Isr*el organizations pressured an Oakland children's museum to cancel an upcoming exhibition of drawings made by Falastinian children in the G@z@ Strip. Community leaders say the shutting down of the exhibition is the result of a disturbing - and well-funded - campaign to silence Falastinian voices across the US.
