This is the importance of dual power: divesting from state-endorsed systems - whether political, agricultural, medical, educational, etc - wherever possible, is the birth of freedom. Allow yourself to imagine a better world.
The tried-and-tested way to do this is through community. One person alone struggles greatly to meet all of their needs (have you ever tried sourcing all of your food yourself?) - but as a community it becomes not only possible, but enjoyable. Know your neighbors. Grow your own food. Learn the medicinal potential of the land.
With billionaires buying up farmland, general groceries being grown with multiple chemicals proven to be dangerous for both us and the wider ecosystem, and the all-round worsening of pressure on the environment, these things become increasingly important.
