COMMUNITY UPDATE & CALL TO ACTION Today, Sisters PGH and the survivor met with Edgewood Police Department to submit her formal written statement, which will now be included in the case file sent to the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office. While Edgewood Police filed initial charges of Terroristic Threats and Ethnic Intimidation (Hate Crime), we’ve made clear that we believe this case meets the standard for Attempted Homicide. That decision now rests with the District Attorney’s Office, as the case moves forward. This is the critical window for public advocacy. We’re asking community members to respectfully contact the DA’s Office and advocate for this case to be treated with the full seriousness it deserves.
