Over the past weekend, Greenpeace South Asia displayed Polluters' Climate Bill banner in Podampeta, in Ganjam district of Odisha, India. ⁣ Podampeta is one of the most climate-affected coastal villages in Odisha whose community has been facing severe sea-level rise, repeated cyclones, coastal erosion, and loss of land and livelihoods, forcing people to relocate multiple times over the years. ⁣ ⁣ This giant bill showcased the staggering climate debt owed by the world’s biggest fossil fuel companies, highlighting the economic damages from the carbon emissions of five major oil and gas corporations since the Paris Agreement (2016–2025).
