Flying emirates A380 First Class is a bucket list experience for any aviation geek. When it launched in 2008, it was absolutely groundbreaking, but does it still deliver 17 years later? Love: Onboard bar and lounge, domperignonofficial , unlimited caviar and pristine bathrooms complete with showers. Like: the suite itself is no longer ground breaking (and hasn’t fundamentally changed since it launched), but is spacious with privacy and large IFE. Improve: WiFi is painfully slow and Emirates has made it much harder than ever to redeem miles for first class awards (though both of my legs were 100% full, so that doesn’t appear to be an issue!) Luckily Emirates is a Chase Sapphire Points Boost airline meaning you can usually redeem points at 2 cents a piece to buy flights, which is how I redeemed for this flight (at roughly the same amount of miles as it would have cost to fly United business class home!)
